Earlier this month, the hashtag #UKBlackOwnedBusinesses shut down Twitter, with hundreds of people sharing photos and details of their favourite UK-based Black businesses (Missed it? Don’t worry, you can catch up here.)
We at We Young Queens have always supported Black business and entrepreneurship and through our annual What a Woman! (WaW!) event, we offer businessmen and businesswomen of Black origin an opportunity to promote and sell their products/services to a diverse audience.
Stallholders at last year’s event made nearly £1000 (total) and saw a significant increase in website and social media traffic. Details on all previously featured businesses can be found here.
This year, we have eight stall spaces available for hire at WaW! 2016 which will take place this October (exact date TBC) in London.
Stalls cost £20 each to hire and a nonrefundable deposit payment of £10 will be required before the event. We provide tables, chairs and basic signage and will promote your business through all our marketing channels, including our social media handles.
